Atlantic Summer

In the quiet waters of the Bay, vision close to my subject, I savoured the palette, that of full summer: rich, bursting yellows, fresh greens and vivid blue.

I looked above, my eyes travelling up to the surface, perceiving that invisible barrier towards the luminous. I saw the beauty, felt a relaxation, a calm, the seaweed reaching so easy, swaying, breathing; undulating grace.

What I liked is how I saw through to the sky when below the water’s surface, I found it a metaphor, seeing beyond to another reality, another existence,  a vision of ascension.
